In recent years, NHSCC has grown to host over 1,100 teams and 50,000 attendees, offering high-energy competitions across multiple divisions and categories at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. NHSCC provides a stage for high school cheerleaders to showcase stunting, tumbling, crowd-leading, and team spirit in a premier environment.

Divisions, Rules, and Scoring
In 2025, divisions are updated for high school teams based on enrollment figures, with new subdivisions in Varsity Coed:
- High School Divisions:
- Division I: Schools with 1,400+ students
- Division II: Schools with 1-1,399 students
- Coed Divisions: Varsity Coed is split into Small and Large categories based on the number of male athletes on the mat. Both Coed divisions are also separated by DI and DII enrollment.
- Non-Building and Non-Tumbling Divisions: Junior High, Junior Varsity Coed, Junior High Non-Tumbling, and Recreational divisions are not split by DI/DII enrollment.

Block Schedule
A tentative block schedule provides a day-by-day outline of the competition times and venues:
- Friday, February 7, 2025: Prelims and qualifying rounds across various divisions.
- Saturday, February 8, 2025: Semi-finals for multiple divisions, including Game Day performances.
- Sunday, February 9, 2025: Finals for most divisions, including Game Day Live events and concluding performances.
- Monday, February 10, 2025: Last rounds and any special competition categories, such as the World School Cheerleading Championships (WSCC).

How to Qualify
To compete at NHSCC, teams must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Attendance at a Varsity Spirit Camp: At least 75% of a team’s roster must attend a Varsity Spirit camp and complete the Squad Credentialing program.
- Qualification via UCA Regional Events: Teams earn bids to NHSCC through performances at 2024 UCA regional events. Scoring at least 90 guarantees a bid, while scores below 90 may still qualify based on division depth, deductions, and raw scores.
