The Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders are set to bring their expertise and star power to Australia as part of a groundbreaking collaboration with the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF). This collaboration will create a professional pathway for Aussie athletes to joining the Rams’ prestigious squad.
The Los Angeles Rams are one of the oldest franchises in the National Football League (NFL), established in 1937. With four World Championships, including their recent Super Bowl LVI win, the Rams have a strong history in professional football. Based in Los Angeles, they play their home games at SoFi Stadium, a modern sports and entertainment venue. In addition to their on-field achievements, the Rams are dedicated to community engagement, working on initiatives that promote inclusivity and opportunities like their collaboration with AASCF. Their commitment to fostering talent and creating connections reflects their role as both a competitive team and a community partner.
As part of the collaboration, LA Rams Cheerleaders Director Keely Fimbres will make a special VIP appearance at AASCF Nationals, December 8–9, in Gold Coast. Nationals, the largest all-star cheerleading competition outside the United States, is set to host over 12,000 athletes and 2,400 teams. Keely will engage directly with athletes, coaches, and fans, spotlighting this international initiative and inspiring participants to dream bigger than ever before.
The Rams Cheerleaders will lead workshops and clinics across Australia starting this autumn, delivering professional insights, advanced choreography, and world-class preparation techniques.
“Athletes will learn what it takes to perform at the highest level in one of the most dynamic and competitive cheer environments in the world,” said Keely Fimbres. “Partnering with AASCF allows us to celebrate talent and passion while empowering athletes to bring their best both on and off the stage.”
Cheer Daily is thrilled to support this landmark partnership and looks forward to capturing the excitement as Keely meets with athletes, shares insights, and helps promote this extraordinary new pathway.
Fresh off the third season of “LA Rams Cheerleaders: Making the Squad” on Hulu, the Rams Cheerleaders have become icons in professional performance cheer. With over 300 athletes auditioning for the 2023-24 season, only 35 were chosen to represent the squad under the direction of Keely Fimbres and choreographers John Peters and Brittany Israel.
The show highlighted the dedication, artistry, and athleticism required to join the sidelines as a Rams cheerleader. While fans eagerly await news of a possible fourth season, the Rams Cheerleaders continue to inspire audiences both on and off the field.
This partnership offers Australian athletes a direct connection to NFL-caliber training and preparation. Through workshops and clinics hosted by the Rams Cheerleaders this autumn throughout Australia, participants will gain insight into the skills, precision, and professionalism that define a top-tier sideline team.
AASCF is already making history for its massive scale, hosting nearly 2,500 teams annually during Nationals and showcasing Australia’s top cheer and dance talent. The addition of the Rams Cheerleaders and Keely Fimbres elevates this year’s event even further, solidifying its reputation as a hub for international cheerleading and dance excellence.
“This program isn’t just about performing,” said Kerry Perry, AASCF Managing Director. “It’s about creating lifelong connections, building global networks, and giving Australian athletes the tools to pursue their dreams of becoming professional performers.”
From Nationals to NFL sidelines, this partnership marks a defining moment in the cheer and dance landscape, creating opportunities that will inspire athletes for generations to come.
