The nation’s best college cheer and dance teams put it all on the mat at the 2025 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship, and after three days of intense competition at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, the final results are in.
The University of Alabama, University of Mississippi, and Bowling Green State University topped the cheer divisions, while The Ohio State University, University of Minnesota, and the University of Nevada–Las Vegas took home championship titles in dance.
The annual event, hosted by Varsity Spirit, saw over 300 teams from 46 states vying for national titles in front of a packed arena and a worldwide online audience tuning in via Varsity TV. With elite-level tumbling, gravity-defying stunts, and show-stopping choreography, the weekend showcased the pinnacle of collegiate spirit.
“The dedication, discipline, and passion displayed were truly remarkable,” said Bill Seely, President of Varsity Spirit. “This was our biggest crowd in event history, and the energy was off the charts. Congratulations to all the athletes for their achievements—your hard work continues to elevate cheer and dance to new heights.”

Every routine showcased the highest levels of skill, technique, and execution. Judges scored teams on stunting, tumbling, execution, crowd-leading ability, choreography, and overall performance.
For Game Day divisions, full spirit programs—including cheer squads, dance teams, and bands—recreated the energy of the sidelines. Teams had to deliver a seamless combination of traditions, school pride, and technical skill.
The event also made history with record-breaking attendance, both in person and online. Select routines will air on ESPN2 & ESPNU this spring. Check local listings for broadcast times. The college nationals season is just heating up. With NCA & NDA College Nationals in Daytona Beach coming in April, teams will continue pushing the limits for their shot at NCA gold.
