The World Games is an international multi-sport event organized by the International World Games Association (IWGA) under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Held every four years, The World Games showcases sports that are not included in the Olympic Games, offering a platform for athletes to demonstrate their talents on a global stage. These games celebrate a diverse range of sports, from well-known disciplines like cheerleading and karate and includes over 30 other sports. The World Games promotes sportsmanship, unity, and excellence, bringing together athletes from all over the world to compete in a spirit of teamwork and competition.

- Cheerleading Event: August 12-17, 2025
- Location: Dong’an Lake Sports Park Multi-Sport Gymnasium, Chengdu, China

- August 12: Arrival of Teams and Officials
- August 13: Acclimatization, Rest, Training
- August 14: Training, Coaches Meeting
- August 15: Team Rehearsals, Opening & Semi-Finals Round 1 (40% of Semi-Finals Score)
- August 16: Semi-Finals Round 2 (60% of Semi-Finals Score), Finals, Medal Ceremonies, Closing
- August 17: Departures
Division:
- Cheerleading Teams: National teams competing
- Quota: Various teams from around the world
- Routine Time: 1 minute 30 seconds
- Age Requirement: 16 years or older
Eligibility:
- Athletes must comply with IWGA/TWG 2025 and ICU competition rules, be a member of ICU and ICU National Federation, and a citizen of the represented country.

- September 13-15, 2024: Asian Championships (Bali, Indonesia)
- September 27-30, 2024: Pan-American Championships (Ottawa, Canada)
- October 11-13, 2024: TWG Series (Hong Kong, China)
- October 18-21, 2024: China National Championships (China)
- April 1, 2025: Global Video Submission
- April 23-25, 2025: ICU World Championships (Orlando, USA)

- October 12: Semi-Finals Round 2 (60% of Semi-Finals Score)
- October 13: Finals, Medal Ceremonies, Closing, Departures
Division & Qualification:
- Cheerleading Teams: National teams competing
- Quota: Various teams from around the world
- Qualification: Video entries by all ICU National Cheer Federations
- Entries/Country: 1 entry per country
- Video Submission Deadline: August 2, 2024
- Qualification Notification: August 16, 2024
- Registration Deadline: August 30, 2024
Age Requirement:
- 16 years or older in 2025, 15 years or older in 2024
Eligibility:
- Same as TWG 2025: Compliance with IWGA/TWG and ICU competition rules, ICU and National Federation membership, and citizenship of the represented country.
Music Guidelines:
- All teams must follow the ICU Music Copyrights Educational Initiative and provide proof of licensing during registration. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
Choreography and Costuming:
- Choreography should be appropriate for family audiences, and all costuming should provide full coverage. Inappropriate elements may affect the judges’ overall impression and score.
Judging Criteria:
- Teams will be scored according to the judging criteria on a 100-point system. The top seven teams from the semi-finals will advance to the finals.
