One of the biggest stages in collegiate spirit has wrapped. The 2025 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship brought over 10,000 athletes from more than 470 college programs to the Daytona Beach Bandshell, delivering three days of high-impact routines, packed sidelines, and national championship titles across all divisions.
In an event where technical difficulty, execution, and crowd engagement all factor into the judges’ scores, this year’s standouts put their full training on display. Athletes across DI, DII, DIII, and Junior College divisions performed routines filled with full-ups, pyramids, baskets, and team-level synchronization—many hitting zero under high-pressure finals.
“The NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship continues to be a defining moment for collegiate athletes nationwide,” said Bill Seely, President of Varsity Spirit. “Every year, thousands of athletes from across the country bring their energy, passion, and school pride to this historic event. We are proud to celebrate their hard work, resilience, and the powerful sense of community that makes this championship so special.”
The highlight? Weber State University, which collected multiple major titles including Advanced Large Coed DI, Jazz DI, Hip Hop DI, and both Large Coed and Small Coed Grand Champion titles—one of the most dominant performances of the season.
Oklahoma Baptist University held its own with a championship win in Advanced All-Girl DII, securing the All-Girl Grand Champion title, while Iowa State University proved their edge in Pom DIA, taking the Pom Grand Champion award after a powerful and polished finals routine.
In the ever-growing Game Day divisions, which now feature cheer and dance routines performed alongside bands to mimic live game environments, schools like Brigham Young University (DIA), Utah Valley University (DI), and Dallas Baptist University (DII) brought coordinated sideline energy and crowd-focused execution to take top honors.
Junior Colleges also threw down with signature intensity. Navarro College and Trinity Valley Community College claimed coed titles, while Blinn College secured victories in both All-Girl and Pom.
Specialty divisions like Partner Stunt and Group Stunt showcased elite-level precision. Weber State University and the University of West Georgia led the way, proving stunt execution can rival any all-star level.
