California All Stars has officially expanded into Tucson, Arizona, with its seventh location, CaliTucson, in partnership with Chaos Elite Cheer & Tumbling. This expansion marks another milestone for the highly decorated all-star program as it continues to grow its footprint in the competitive cheer industry.
Founded in 2001 in North County San Diego, California All Stars has grown from a single non-spring floor gym to a program with over 1,450 athletes across San Marcos, Bay Area, Las Vegas, Ventura, Ontario, and Mesa. The addition of CaliTucson extends its reach into Southern Arizona, bringing its well-established training and competitive opportunities to a new market.
For over a decade, Chaos Elite Cheer & Tumbling has been a cornerstone of the Tucson cheerleading community. The program has continued to thrive despite the sudden passing of its owner, Luis Ortega Martinez, in 2021 at age 50. The gym has remained committed to athlete development and competitive excellence, making it a natural fit for California All Stars’ expansion strategy.
“This is an exciting step for California All Stars and for the Tucson cheer community,” said Tannaz Kirichkow, co-owner of California All Stars. “We are honored to continue the legacy that Chaos Elite built while providing expanded resources and competitive opportunities for athletes in the region. Our goal is to deliver the same high-level training and athlete development that California All Stars is known for.”
California All Stars has earned over 500 National Titles, Grand Championships, and multiple Worlds and NCA National Titles. The program offers teams for Levels 1-6, emphasizing both competitive success and athlete development.
The expansion into Tucson reflects a broader trend in all-star cheerleading’s growth as an industry, with top-tier programs extending their presence to new cities to meet increasing demand for elite training.
“With this expansion, we’re strengthening our commitment to growing the sport and providing more athletes with access to the best training, coaching, and competition experiences,” Kirichkow added.
CaliTucson will provide enhanced training, skill development, and competitive opportunities for athletes in the region. Tryout details, open house events, and program updates will be announced in the coming weeks.
