The 2025 Allstar World Championship, produced by the Open Championship Series, kicks off tomorrow in Orlando, Florida. With 1,560 teams set to compete, the event now ranks as the #4 largest cheerleading competition based on team participation, according to Cheer Daily’s event tracking.
Now in its fifth year, the Allstar World Championship has grown into one of the most significant end-of-season events in All Star cheer. Hosted at the Orange County Convention Center, the competition spans multiple stages over several days, welcoming programs from across the country in a wide range of divisions and levels.
The Allstar World Championship continues to stand out not just for its size, but for the level of competition it delivers. Unlike many large-scale events that include prep, rec, novice, and other additional divisions, the ASWC focuses exclusively on core All Star divisions—making its 1,560-team turnout even more significant.
“We’re proud to provide an event of this size that still delivers a top-tier experience for athletes and programs,” said David Hanbery, co-founder of the Open Championship Series. “What sets the Allstar World Championship apart is that it focuses solely on traditional All Star divisions—without including prep, novice, or rec. When you look at the numbers in that context, this event represents the most concentrated and competitive field we’ve ever seen in our sport.”
The event is produced by the Open Championship Series, a coalition of independent event producers that operates outside of traditional governing bodies. These producers host their own bid events, culminating in this season-ending championship. In comparison, The Cheerleading Worlds is produced by the U.S. All Star Federation (USASF) and the International Cheer Union (ICU) and follows a separate qualification structure. Both events are held in Orlando and serve different segments of the All Star community.
