The cheer community showed up in a big way at Friday Night Live 2025, raising an incredible $257,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during this year’s CHEERSPORT National All Star Championship weekend.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Friday Night Live is a high-energy showcase featuring some of the top All Star programs in the country, all coming together to perform for a cause before the weekend’s fierce competition kicks off. This year’s event was the biggest yet, held in front of a sold-out crowd of 5,000 fans in Atlanta, with an additional 10,000 viewers streaming live on Varsity TV.
Top Fundraising Teams for St. Jude
Leading up to the event, teams across the country worked to fundraise and spread awareness for St. Jude. The top fundraising teams for 2025 were:
Cheer Express Miss Silver: $54,843
Maine Stars: $39,275
University Cheer Force: $20,628
Mac’s All Star Cheer: $18,393
Maryland Twisters: $15,343.50
Since partnering with St. Jude in 2015, Friday Night Live has raised over $1.4 million to help support the hospital’s lifesaving research and treatment efforts.
CHEERSPORT 2025: A Record-Breaking Weekend
This year’s CHEERSPORT National All Star Championship shattered records, welcoming over 60,000 spectators and athletes from more than 1,400 teams in downtown Atlanta making it the biggest CHEERSPORT event ever.
The action-packed weekend saw 228 Division Champions crowned, along with 10 Paid Bids and 20 At-Large Bids awarded for The Cheerleading Worlds. Varsity TV also delivered enhanced live coverage, featuring an ESPN-style broadcast with live commentary, routine breakdowns, and exclusive interviews.
