In a remarkable display of skill and determination, the #1 seed George Fox Bruins have been crowned champions of the 2025 College STUNT National Championship in Division III, defeating the #3 seed Muskingum Fighting Muskies in a hard-fought 9-7 final. This historic victory marks the Bruins’ first national title in only their second season as a program.
The road to the championship was paved with intense competition. George Fox demonstrated their dominance early on, handily defeating the #4 seed Saint Mary’s Belles 13-1 in Game 3 and then securing a decisive 12-7 victory over Muskingum in Game 6 to advance to the final.
Muskingum, meanwhile, showcased their resilience throughout the tournament. After an initial 13-6 win against the 2 seed Misericordia Cougars, they bounced back from their Game 6 loss to George Fox with a commanding 14-5 elimination game victory over Misericordia, earning their spot in the championship showdown.
Other notable performances included the 2 seed Misericordia Cougars, who battled their way through the elimination bracket with a 12-0 win over the 5 seed Concordia Chicago Cougars and a 10-2 victory over the 4 seed Saint Mary’s Belles. The 4 seed Saint Mary’s Belles also impressed with a 13-4 win against Concordia Chicago.
This year’s championship also comes as the DIII STUNT landscape sees changes, with Alma College departing the division for the club level.
The George Fox Bruins’ inaugural national title is a testament to their rapid ascent in the sport and sets a high bar for future DIII STUNT seasons. Congratulations to the George Fox Bruins on their groundbreaking achievement!
