The gym has been a staple in the area, providing a space for young athletes to train and grow. Recently, Westside gained attention on the Cheer Daily platform, with videos of their cheer dads, known as Dad Fury, supporting their athletes receiving over 5 million views on TikTok.

Located at 2478 N. Raceway Road, the fire that broke out caused extensive damage, making it difficult for the facility to continue operations. Despite efforts to raise funds for rebuilding, the team ultimately decided to close the gym permanently. Two days after the fire, on June 15th, the gym announced its closure.

In a statement, the gym’s management expressed their gratitude for the support from the community over the years. They acknowledged the impact the gym had on athletes and their families, emphasizing the sense of community and achievement that was fostered within its walls.

The closure affects both staff members and athletes, who now need to find alternative facilities for employment and training. Westside Gymnastics & Cheer is providing information about other local facilities and programs to assist in this transition.

Donations are being accepted to help support the staff and athletes during this period. Those interested in contributing can contact the gym for more details.

This closure marks the end of a significant chapter for Westside Gymnastics & Cheer, leaving behind a legacy of athletic development and community engagement.
